I've heard good things about Joanie Zajic (not sure of the spelling), Fred Carama is the noted tenor maker and breathing man in town, David Romano teaches very solid technique but may not have much time as he travels with Josh Groban quite a bit. Gualtiero Negrini is back in town. And there are a few good coaches that know the voice: Roger Cantrell and Dan Bridston. Valery Rifkin is up in Santa Barbara - he's a great coach. And his wife, Victoria Hart is a voice teacher. These are the ones I know of - have heard some of their singers and have heard generally good stuff about all of them. I have worked with a few. To each his own, so best you try them on for size. No one teacher works for everyone.

How could I forget Naomi Farr. She recently relocated here from Atlanta to be near her daughter. Teaches in the Los Feliz area of Los Angeles. Naomi is fabulous. A former singer who worked with many 20th composers. Very straight forward.

I have contact info for most of these folks. email me
