Sweeping music accompanies Il Tabarro (The Cloak) as a man pleads for his wife to return his affections. His discovery of her unfaithfulness leads to one of the most chilling finales in the opera repertoire. The second opera is one of the most nail-biting and terrifying operas ever written. Taconic Opera presents The Medium to celebrate the life and work of Menotti, Mount Kisco composer of Amahl and the Night Visitors, who passed away last year. This opera is the horrifying story of a woman, in pretending to speak to the dead, unexpectedly finds that the dead want to answer.
