I am so glad that my health might no longer be a commodity.

and that my mother has a chance in hell of having health coverage should she ever need to quit her job. As of right now, insurance companies just don't think people with MS need insurance.

but this will, in no way, make your health any less of a commodity. It just means that, instead of the insurance company making $6 billion they'll make $5 billion. I wish they would do away with the entire insurance system, but it will never happen.
We are waayyy too in love with this whole free-market thing. I think it's a great thing when you're talking about technology and fashion and automobiles and such. But when it comes to our health and survival, I don't think the free market has any place in it. Nothing good comes of the fact that people are lining their pockets with money when they should be looking out for my well-being.

I can't wait for every American to have the RIGHT to obtain medical service to help them through minor medical issues to major issues like MS, Diabetes, Asthma, Cancer etc ...
