My 64 Galixy has reverse only. I replaced the filter, put in a new modulator, 11 qts. fresh fluid, still same. I have it on stands and it does spin the right rear but is weak. Reverse is strong. Do Ineed to adjust bands or pull it out for a rebuild?

Have a 1969 Ford F-250 truck with a 390ci 4 bbl crab, point dist, auto trans and no smog compontents. When driving at about 60-65 mph up a slight grade the engine will ping. I am using 91 gas and set the timing down to 4 degrees btdc , pinging is a little less but still notocebly. If I drive the same grade at 40-45 mph there is no noticeably pinging. Love the truck hate the ping. Thanks Joe.

I have a '64 Galaxie fastback. The window channel (which the regulator interfaces with) has broken loose from the window itself. I think the fix will be fairly straightforward, but I don't know how to get the window out. I removed both upper stops, but it looks like the entire track assembly has to be removed with it? Anyone familiar with this job?

Do you still have that frame? I am highly interested in it since half of mine is rusted away. Do you know what body style it came off of? Please let me know where you live.

Wondering if you still had that 67 Ford frame, and where you were located. I am a pretty good welder and can fix & customize it. I am on the Pa-NJ border. I just got a 67 Galaxie with very bad frame rot. Thanks, Bruce Thompson

If you are looking for these, then you know how rare they are - especially the rear. These are straight off the parts car and have been in storage. I have not polished them or touched anything up. There are some small rust spots on the rear but they are behind the license plate. I didnt want to hit these with steel wool and polish and get rid of them, then have them reappear after the next owner has them - I just dont do those things. There is also a bit of chrome missing on the bottom but you cannot see it in the photos, so you may not see it while on the car.
They are heavy...especially the rear (I am used to mustang bumpers...this weighs about 5x). They are complete with brackets and the front turn signals (missing one lens). The fronts have no rust but there are a few dings. Both would be great for a nice street car, and I am sure they would look great if someone put some time in them. Again, I have not cleaned them, washed them, etc.
I would prefer to sell these to someone going to the Portland area next week. I am not selling at the swap meet, only buying...but want to move these if possible for funding for another project. If someone else wants them let me know, if you are willing to foot the bill for shipping (again, heavy). Asking $500 for the pair, which is much less than most rusty cores I have seen. Thanks. I am in search of a good used 1958-1965 Full size ford MX auto trans. This would be a unit out of a 390 or larger engine. I have a '58 Large series Edsel that I would like to convert to dual range MX trans. Bell housing not necessary. Would like to locate something I can pickup in a days driving distance from 44614. Hi folks, just got my new upper shaft kit from kanters auto. Ford manual says to torque bushings to 160-190 ftlbs while keeping shaft centered. Seems like 120 ft-lbs is all I can put on the bushings. They keep turning. I'm afraid if I keep torquing, they will bind up the inner shaft. Anybody replaced bushings lately? I greased the inside in the bushings where the upper shaft threads in, but not the outer thread of the bushings. Any help appreciated.
