Well. i think it's because most modelers build WW2 models. When you go to a model contest, 90% of the models are from WW2 era. Iwish it was different.
There are quite a few figures available. Dragon released a number of sets a couple of years ago. You can also look for resin figures from Hobby Fan or Coree. The prices of these figures are much higher than plastic kits.
