it's not hate. it's extreme disenchantment and subsequent dislike.

Response to What exactly caused this hatred?

i'm a democrat (so this entire situation really pains me - i voted for the guy the first time) and i think he's made more of a financial mess of this state than anyone before him - even the blond twit that escaped to a bush cabinet appointment. he was supposed to be the great financial guru that would fix things and he's done the exact opposite.

he's beholden (like most politicians) to the state workers union. he caved in to their threat a few weeks ago so that the VP would come and give a totally lack-luster speech (honestly, did it look like he wanted to be there at all?). that was actually the final straw for me. this wasn't about the state workers...it's about his entitled political appointees.

his relationship with Katz has always bothered me as well as his "it's none of your business" attitude - i could care less about his personal life, but if you're governor and you've got a relationship with the head of the most powerful union in the state (and you give her a lot of money), somebody's going to question it. it gives the appearance of impropriaty.

the state is practically bankrupt. he's counting on stimulus money (which was a one shot deal) to balance the budget. the money isn't there so where is it going to come from? he's pulled money from the schools, but the expendatures are mandated by law...so that money is going to be replaced by property tax hikes. great. we already have some of the highest taxes in the country.

i can't move out of the state without paying an exit tax. seriously, wtf?

personally, i wanted the democrats to pull Corzine from the race (let Obama give him a nice Ambassador-ship somewhere) and let Cory Booker fix the state. he's done a pretty decent job in Newark so far and i'd like to see his solution to the mess we're in.

i'd rather vote christie into office...let him deal with the mess that corzine hasn't fixed and then vote him out in 4 years for Booker.

i feel like i'm playing political chess...or at least waiting for another democrat to step up. until then...
