Baltimore area...

Hi Eastcoasters,

I was wondering if any of you that live near the Baltimore area (or have gone to Baltimore for a gig) could recommend a hotel/residence suite/B&B...whatever, that has 1 Bedroom plus an area with a sleeper sofa. I've got a function in Baltimore but have a car so could stay outside of Baltimore, which I think is probably cheaper and safer.

Any suggestions?

TIA,
LaS

try airport hotels

they are usually the cheapest. The hotels downtown are overpriced. There are b&b in town, but if you want to feel totally safe, stick to outside the city.

You could try...

... the Oakwood, which is short-let furnished apartments. Not sure if they're only weekly or also rent nightly, but they're quite nice and in an ok part of downtown (or as ok as downtown ever gets).

There's another similar building, but I can't remember the name of for the life of me. Baltimore Opera put singers up there and they were really very nice. If I remember what it's called, I'll post the information.

Bed and Breakfast

I don't know if it's exactly what you're looking for, but my mother is an innkeeper at Scarborough Fair in Federal Hill. It's beautiful and safe, and she makes the food, so I can say it's pretty good! They don't have any sleeper sofas (I don't think) but one room can be a king sized bed or two twins.
