Who's the best voice teacher in Philadelphia?

Hello ,

I'm looking for a very good voice teacher in the Philadelphia area. My primary concern is maintaining good vocal health and having a teacher that you can trust when it comes to using your voice correctly. This is very important to me as I'm also a jazz singer and "Broadway belter." I haven't studied voice formally for a couple of years and so I'm just getting back into it and want to work on producing beatuiful tones , proper support , and someone to be an "ear" for me and help me maintain the health of my voice. I've studied operatic singing so , I'm not specifically looking for a Broadway voice teach but an opera/classical technique teacher. I've studied with both kinds of teachers and I feel in better hands with a great opera voice teacher.

For reference , I'm a lyric soprano with coloratura.

Thanks so very much. happy.gif

There are three teachers at University of the Arts in the music theatre department who are all completely classically trained, but have also a background in performing "Broadway": Patty Raine, Maryellen Grant Kennedy, and Terry Greenland. They turn out very healthy, intelligent singers.

Sorry for the late response! Do you have any contact information for these teachers? --->

I've searched and can't seem to find a phone number for any of them.

Thank you so much for helping me. happy.gif

There can be immense beauty in a lack of vowels.

Ach!

I see now that your log-in name is "Der Sopran." That was grammatically correct. But when you replaced "Sopran" with "Sopranistin" as your alias, you should have replaced "der" with "die."
