All right, let's try to put these things in one place.

1. Related to the forums themselves:

bump (not an abbreviation, but a word used to indicate that one is adding
to a thread merely in order to make it appear at the top of the forum page, that
is, "bumping" it)
ETA = edited to add
FAQ = frequently asked question
NT = no text
OP = original poster (i.e., the one who started the thread)
OT = off-topic
X-post = cross-post

2. Related to the singing business:

AD = artistic director (when used by a singer); assistant director (when used by an assistant director)
GD = general director
MT = musical theater
PFO = please f*** off (i.e., a rejection letter)

3. Terms for personal relations (newly added, 10/12/06)

BF = boyfriend
DD = dear daughter
DH = dear husband
D-etc. (You get the idea. See posts below for further speculations on what
the "D" could stand for.)
GF = girlfriend
SO = significant other

For abbreviations and acronyms that are part of general internet usage (e.g., "BTW," "IMHO,"
"LOL," etc.), see the Wikipedia article "List of Internet slang phrases."
