SOPRANO SECTION LEADER/SOLOIST wanted. Auditions being scheduled for a paid soprano section leader/soloist position in an Episcopal parish church choir in Evanston. Ideal candidates will demonstrate excellent sight reading skills, a strong voice capable of leading the Choir II soprano section of the 30-voice adult mixed choir, an affable personality that can lean and foster growth, and great singing. Must be available for weekly Thursday evening rehearsals and one service every Sunday morning from approximately the middle of September to the end of May. Occasional extra rehearsals and services throughout the year (must be available to sing all Christmas Eve, Holy Week, and Easter services). Standard sacred repertoire. Fun atmosphere and a wonderful group of people. Progressive, open, and affirming parish community. Previous choral experience required. Public transportation is available.
