I graduated in that weather

June 19 2009, 11:52 PM

It was nasty this morning and then nice, then nasty again, then nice, and by the time we got to graduation this evening, it was looking really threatening, but they had already decided to hold it outside. So they did a truncated version of the ceremony (fine by me!), and then just as we started the recessional, the heavens opened. It was unreal. And disgusting.

I got stuck in a parking lot

June 20 2009, 1:54 AM

The water and wind were going so fast that I just sat there and waiting before driving home. I was thankful that I was in the van that we use to transport the hubby's instruments... and since we are off to perform, it was loaded down. The rain came down so fast I could not see 4 feet in front of me. I am told that we set a record today... 4 inches of rain in under an hour.... Wowee....

three trees fell

..just on my street.

It was so weird. It was pretty bad all day long but then it seemed like it stopped. And then all of a sudden for about five minutes, all hell broke loose.
