I'm currently compiling some information and am interested to know if you might be able to send me any information on "artist-driven" initiatives and/or companies in Chicago. Writing from NYC, an example from here might be "Opera on Tap" or small boutique companies like the new Bleecker Street Opera. Organizations that also promote opera and/or have some connection to opera in some way are also needed.

Also maybe look into OperaModa, and maybe Vanguard Opera, though I don't know how artist-run the latter is.
