Wow - Heather Headley's second album debuted at #5 on the BILLBOARD HOT 200 Album chart. This is a fantastic debut - and this chart isn't just R&B - she has the #5 CD in the country.

"Heather Headley's "In My Mind" debuted at No. 5 to become the Tony Award-winning performer's first top 10 album on The Billboard 200. The album sold a couple hundred fewer copies than Foxx's "Unpredictable" at 95,000, but unseated that set from the No. 1 slot on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart due to stronger sales in the stores that make up that chart's contributing panel. Headley's previous release, "This Is Who I Am," peaked at No. 38 on The Billboard 200 in 2002."

There were like 2 songs on there that I liked. Heather has such a great voice, I expected better from her!

At least a real singer is at the top of the charts!!!

I listened to a few clips of it when I was in the VIRGIN Record store yesterday. From what I heard, her first album sounded better.

That's not only surprising but thoroughly disappointing. I wasn't a huge fan of her first album...I liked it becuase it was Heather...but...you know? I really thought that her second album would be great. That's just too bad

When I heard those clips in the record store, it was set up so that you could only hear the first few seconds of each of her songs. I base my experience only on that. My opinion might change if I heard some complete songs. Strange though when I listened to whatever few seconds I was able to hear, some of it did not sound like Heather.
