Will Aida ever be on DVD? I'm dying to see both the first and last performances on Broadway...and also when Idina Menzel was in it. Will we ever see this released?

Thanks,

Mark

Idina Menzel went into Aida shortly after Heather Headley left around the fall of 2001. Aida was next played by Maya Days with Adam Pascal as Radames. As for the DVD of Aida, unfortunately, Aida was not recorded for commercial release as they did with Into The Woods with Benadette Peters, or Smokey Joe's cafe. If you live in the New York city area, you might be able to see Aida with Deborah Cox by checking out the Theater Archives at The Performing Arts Library at Lincoln Center next to the Metropolitan Opera house. There are Broadway show that have been reccorded that can be viewed, if you are a show biz professional or student of the arts. You must schedule an appointment, and have a reason such as " you are doing research, or you are going to appear in that production " or something like that.
