I am 42 years old and have been wearing my hair the same for about 15 years. I have thick wavy hair I part slightly on the right side that holds a curl well. Currnetly my hair is layered and I use hot rollers to curl it back and brush into soft curls that frame my face. It is slightly past my shoulders. My face shape is square/oval. I have always toyed with a bob. My concern is that it may not go with my face shape. (I once read to avoid bobs with round/square face. Would a bob work? Would I need to do anything different because of the thickness of my hair? How long/short should I go? I love Jessica Simpsons bob and think that would be the legnth I should attempt.
Thanks...once it's cut it is too late...but I feel like I need a change...Your opinions???

Hi
I am 36 years old and would say I had a round face! I was worried about going for a bob but everybody says as you get older, go shorter and lighter.....so I did! I was SO nervous! I thought that the bob might make me look like some dumpy school girl. However, the opposite. I love it and I get loads of compliments about it. I went for a 'sort-of' fringe (which I have never had in my life) and everybody tells me that I look younger because of it (yeah, right - I wish!! is what I think!!!). The only downside is the cost of having to have it cut every 6 weeks as that can be expensive. Take the plunge though as I bet you will love it!!
