Well, I finally decided on the watch to get - the new Aqua Lung.
I used to have the 1999 version but sold it a few years ago. I've
always missed that watch and now I have its larger brother!

Beautiful watch Jonathan, I almost bought one six months ago...

August 17 2006, 11:43 AM

IMVHO, the nicest big date out there, period. The dial is magnificent, and can be used for any occasion. The strap and deployment are the most comfortable I have tried on, movement is beautiful, and I especially love the quick date change feature.

I contemplated the purchase of the 2005 for quite some time, but, found the watch to look a bit small on my 7.5" wrist. Also, I have larger than average forearms, and it seem to make the watch, on my wrist look even smaller. Everytime I visit my AD, I just stare at the BP 2005 Aqualung, and, someday, may just pull the trigger.

Congratulation on aquiring one of my all time favorite timepieces. Pure beauty. Wear this watch in good health, and please post more pictures. I never get tired of looking at this watch.

Best Regards,

Kevin

Hi Marlon, Can you really discern that from Jonathan's picture?

August 20 2006, 10:41 AM

If you can please share with us your secret because I would love to visit your opthalmologist !

I was just at an AD yesterday and examined one under a 10X loupe and found the finishing on the Piguet movement just fine. Perhaps there are variances within different pieces but really not visible to the naked eye.

Let us all just celebrate Jonathan's new purchase. The Blancpain Leman Grande Date is a wonderful and elegantly designed watch.
Congrats Jonathan!

Best, Mike

Looks like Marlon said something nasty about BP and had his comments censored! (nt)

Jonathan,

I really love that watch. I think it is my favorite BP, well between this
and the minute repeater, platinum Villeret.

I had the chance to get one, and passed on it because I thought it
was a bit too small. Now it haunts my dreams.

Enjoy and thanks for the very nice pics.
