Yes you are right. Royal family or not, the Belgians are responsible for the mismanagement of their colonies up to the point when they became independant. I'm not just saying this becaause that guy was being provocative but it's a fact. Mobutu sese seko N zanga and his cronies are not the only ones responsible for the misery inflicted on the Congolese. Unlike the British with their colonies such as India, the Belgians fostered ethnic division & could care less how the countries were governed once they left. There was no smooth transition & King Baudoin did not have the wisdom of King Juan Carlos. So I laugh when the Belgian criticizes (rightfully or not) Bush & then tells us where he comes from. Last but not least i'm Swiss so one can't accuse me of being an american right-winger.
