Shelved or wot!

Have any of you noticed a favourite "own brand" product going long term missing from the shelves in the supermarkets you use?

For several months I have been unable to obtain the "own brand" versions of Kellogg's All Bran from any of the major stores. Enquiries always come back with the same answer in all the stores, "it's temporarily out of stock". Yeh, for temporarily read six to eight months!

The fact that the original Kelloggs version is still available on the shelves at a price that is a third above that of the stores own brand, indicates that it isn't a foodstuffs shortage problem.

The own brand version would always fly off the shelves so I don't see it as "slow sales" problem, so what the heck's going on!

Before anyone suggests, I've tried the "bran flake" own brand versions that are in plentiful supply in all the majors but they're not the same as the "bran worms", as my grandkids call them.
