The Tory mafia in Grantham is intent on paid parking on the spaces it controls in Bourne. I would be utterly astonished if it is not on the agenda for this current financial year, to be introduced in the following financial year and still a year short of the next District Council election. Therefore they would present an "Emperor's New Clothes" scenario if they were to attempt to prevent the Burghley Centre landlord from making the slots next to the shops paid parking. Possibly there might be a revenue-sharing agreement. It is not gong to happen overnight, though a private company does not have the same requirement to "consult", but it might be seen as a "pilot" by the SKDC bosses.
This might be affected by events in Belgrade, where the arrest of Radovan Karadžić could well jeopardise his role as consultant to the Grantham and Stamford Conservative Association.
