Michael Jackson recorded six albums which sold over 10 million copies. One, Thriller, sold over 100 million copies worldwide. There must be millions who opt to listen to a Michael Jackson track at least once a day. That indicates prodigious talent for something, even if it is only marketing. He will only die once, and his past achievements guarantee that when that happens, he is sure to get worldwide media coverage. Music is the sound-track to peoples' lives - a hoary old cliché, but subatantially true. Even if the music is not to your own personal taste, it is still part of the sound-track to your life. I do not care much for Abba, but I suspect that when Bjorn or Benny are calles to sample the smörgåsbord in the sky, that will merit several minutes of the Six O'Clock News.
