At last someone after my own heart, as many will tell you I have been going on for ages about negative attitudes on this forum and in the country in general To my mind this devines the British, a load of moaners. and I am not particularly proud to be one of them.To my mind I'm a citizen of the world who appreciates the fact I live in a democracy. I probably differ from most other contributors who seem to think that the British, in particular the English, are, or were the most wonderful race on earth and for the life of me I can't see why. I will give you an example. I watched a programme the other day about ex.pats,living in Spain. There were so many of them they were a real coimmunity yet very few of them could speak Spanish or had the slightest intention of learning it. I bet they would be the first to complain about immigrants in this country who couldn't speak the language but somehow this was an irrelevance to them.
