I once quite literally bumped into Richard Wilson (aka Victor Meldrew) emerging from the cloakroom, there, and found myself having a slightly drunken conversation with one M Walker esq. (he who, Clive James would have it, sounds like his trousers are on fire in his quieter moments) at some black tie do when I was a wet-behind-the-ears wee lad.
