Guy asks why the charities can not take on a few young people and pay them £6.00 per hour.
I would question whether the charities could actually afford that, but conversely, why doesn't the charities approach the senior schools in town, and SELL the idea of volunteering to the pupils, it could be the sentance on a C.V. that could get them a job, or a chance to try something that they had not thought about - and if I was unemployed I would be looking for something to do during the day, after all there's only so much daytime telly a person can stand!!
