Take your pick

Response to Although...

I have no quarrel with those who believe in God. It takes all sorts. But why is it that every time someone says they do not they are offended? Surely we unbelievers can also be offended but of course, like Richard Dawkins, we are not because we accept that the world is full of people with diverse opinions.

After all, Christians are not offended (or at least I assume so) by the declarations of Muslims and Buddhists but why do they always shout loudly when the Christ myth is questioned. I have heard it said that this is because Christianity needs blind faith rather than knowledge and so that that is understandable.

Similarly with Michael Jackson. You either believe that he was a great singer and musician or a fraud on a gullible public and so you can take your pick and the day we cannot say which we choose without being berated for it, then free speech will suffer.
