I went there this morning. Prices are for the most en par with Sainsbury. It's too early to find out where they sell their reduced items! The choice I thought was much better, if one considers a vast range of goods on offer to be a good thing. I mean, personally I don't need a dozen and more different butters to choose from. I would be happy with unsalted (premium and cheap brands) and salted (ditto). The same applies to much else. But there we are.
I have every confidence that this will alter in years to come, even in my lifetime. The need to feed the world will force this upon us. It's not that the world cannot feed itself, but a question of with what.
If I had a criticism then it would only be that virtually all goods that are fresh, chilled and frozen are to be found behind sliding doors. OK, so this is to be energy efficient, but I fear they may have scored an own goal with the majority of people. Other than that an enjoyable experience.
I understand from the foreman on the roadworks site that these works will be completed by Wednesday. Let's see.
