I think you willfully misunderstand the position of the long established tenant farmer and it is somehow equated in your mind with short term rentals.
As for discounts, that again suggests you have crossover thinking with the debate about housing which is very different, nobody even mentioned discounts until you did.
You are blissfully ignorant about wind farms. With the ones already built they have been making a big contribution to the national grid, don't take my word for it, look it up for yourself should you have any doubts.
