      You have failed to clear up your position, completely, Ray. It is simple. Remand prisoners are not convicted criminals and should, until their conviction, retain their right to vote. Convicted criminals who are serving a prison sentence have shown a complete disregard of what society demands of it's members. In other words, their membership of society has been, temporarily, suspended and that includes the right to vote. They cannot reject the laws of society and still expect to have a say in how society is run.
