I just wanted to say well done to the people on the mixing desk for an excellent sound balance last night. It was loud enough to be punchy, without reaching the senseless levels of some of previous years; I know that one of the bands were impressed with the on-stage sound as well.

I'm convinced that there have been people at the controls in the past, whose hearing has already suffered serious damage. At times it made you fear for the hearing of some of the very young children (even babies) who were subjected top it, although it made you despair at those parents who took them inside. I dread to think what it must have sounded like to some of the dogs that were taken in - they're probably still in shell-shock.
