      After taking it on the chin for far too long, Skegness has decided to be strong and self-confident again:

      It is easy to criticise this as all arts and no substance, but perceptions matter. Crap towns have to fight back and this is the way to do it. It's not as if Southwold and Whitstable have all the answers.

      After all, there is plenty to sneer at in the rivals and the timing is good too as airports become ever more painful and airport taxes beyond a minor irritation.
