FK1 timers are random, refer to DrWho.lzh. The spinner is based on randomtimers and the same number doesn't keep coming up all the time [at least for me].
I have noticed on at least one viewer that too short an interval will screw up the random effect. I do not recall how short a random interval would leave the timer giving the same result over and over again, but when the interval was lengthened it is properly random.
