Uh....... help! Ź.Ź

I have tried a million times to draw a decent basedoll, but I cant do pixel-by-pixel art to save my life! I have made a few dolls with templates, but its getting boring, and none of them are really my style. I used to be OK at pixeling, when I had a mouse, but using a tablet is hard for pixeling. help me!
Oh, and also, I have a crisis with hair. I usually end up making it look like the doll has a mop on his/her head.
