I guess that depends on each indivials idea of what is good. I personally find a few dolls in each update that are extremely wonderful. Kiss dolls are a time comsuming hobby, I know, I make them myself---Soooo, I have a lot of respect for each and every doll. Also, there seems to be a lot of new artists, which is a good thing, because they will only get better--this means more updates, more dolls. Not everyone is going to love every single doll, but at least there is a little bit of something for everyone. You are saying that you like a lot of the older dolls, well a lot of those have been made by more experienced artists, and they don't seem to publish as frequently as some---My point, give the new artists some time to get experience. Actually some of the new ones have some very very good dolls--For example: Coldboot's first doll was excellent, and that was a pretty recent update. But this is all just a matter of opinion, really-and you are most certainly entitled to yours.
