older vs newer. when you say that dolls seem to be better before than nowi dont really know how far back you consider old or new, but you have to realize that this is more dolls from the past then the is dolls from the present. and i too am more of a consumer than a creater, and i have artist whos styles i like more than others. it could be that the artists you saw and liked from back then aren't making dolls now. or are currently working n dolls, and sometimes pick them up here and there. i know that if you really want something good, you need to put alot of time in it. that may not be the case always, seing that there are a lot of good day dolls. i know that wheni'm searching for dolls from my fav animes there are a lot of some, but some many from ohters. i can't be picky because unless i do something to fill in the gap i have to make-do with what i have avalible. but it is always welcome for questioning.
i hope not to have offended anoyone, but i have strong opinions of things and am always willing to share them.
