After a lot of work, I finally finished my first, simple Kiss doll, and posted it on my website. Unfortunately, my friends who have tried downloading it have run into problems. The doll will run perfectly on my viewer, Randall's PlayFKiss 0.83b, but won't open at all in Randall's PlayFKiss 0.81 viewer. Another friend tried his Unix-based viewer, and it won't open the doll either. If I comment out the "infinity.kcf" file, the doll will open, but the colors are wrong on many of the cels, even some which do not use the "infinity.kcf" palette. In addition, there are vertical lines on the left hand sides of some of the cels, lines which are not visible when I open the doll in the O.83 viewer, or when I open the source bitmaps in Photoshop.
Why would the doll work perfectly in one viewer, but incorrectly or not at all in others? If anyone on this board knows what's going wrong and how I can fix it, it would be much appreciated.
