This story is sorta deathfic and bombarded with sugar shock so be warned, k?

/If all nights could exactly be like this, then day is nothing to be anticipated. Just the two of us looking at the stars together. This night is almost perfect. Almost.../
Sendoh absently thought as he gently brushed the stray brown locks on the face of his lover. Kogure smiled weakly as he tried to nuzzle closer to the touch.

"Cold?" asked Sendoh. "We could go inside if you want to.." he added while tucking the blankets firmly on the brown-haired boy.

Kogure shook his head. "No, I'm fine in here. You're warm enough for me." He twined his hands to Sendoh's " 'sides, I want to enjoy this moment while I still can.."

"Kimi-kun, please don't talk like that. Everything will be-"

"It's alright Akira-kun. I've learned to accept this and so should you. We've all got to go sooner or later, perhaps now is the time for me." Kogure whispered. "Just promise me you won't cry okay?"

Sendoh just gave him his trademark grin as he gazed on the starry sky.

"Just what do you mean by that?!?"

Everyone grimaced at the outburst of the usually calm and grinning Sendoh.

"Sendoh-kun, please calm down" Ayako said while trying to wipe down her tears but failing miserably.

"What I mean is that the tumor is too large to be taken. I highly doubt if there's chance of survival and if he does survive, he may suffer terrible complications." the doctor told them sympathetically.

"But that's ridiculous! You're supposed to be a doctor and-" shouted Sendoh not believing all of this was actually happening. Out of frustration, he stormed outside the room.

/They have to be joking! This is downright unfair! Why him?!? I can't believe that after finding him through all those meaningless relationships before, I'll only end up losing him.../ He was startled out of his reverie when a hand tapped him gently on the shoulder.

"You need to be strong for him. He needs you more than anything now."

"I know Koshino, I know. It's just that everything is so unfair! He doesn't even deserve this at all! We have great plans and lots of years ahead of us." Sendoh hoarsely replied, tears brimming on his eyes. Koshino enveloped Sendoh in a comforting hug as he fought back the urge to cry. Finally, he gave in and broke down on his best friend. He told him his fears, his dreams and everything that he had planned together with Kogure.

"Shh, shh..Go see him now. Remember, be strong for him and I'm sure everything will be fine." assured Koshino. "Smile for him when others won't."

Sendoh nodded as he stood up and fixed himself. "Thank you so much Hiro-kun, thank you."

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

"Remember our first date?"

"Of course I remember, baka" the brown-haired boy teased him. "I waited for nearly an hour on the park because some spike-haired idiot got into some trouble involving his past fling."

Sendoh cringed at the memory four years ago. "That was before I met the great Megane-kun who gave me what I was looking for all along."

"And what was that?"

Sendoh stared at Kogure affectionately. "Love."

"I'm glad I waited for you then."

Sendoh shook his head. "No. It is I who should be glad that you waited. Otherwise, some other guy might be experiencing this special moment."

"I'm really happy I made a wish on that shooting star..."

"Huh?" The spike-haired boy asked in puzzlement.

Kogure chuckled softly. "The night on the park, remember? We saw a shooting star and you asked me to make a wish.

"Was it granted?"

"Yeah. And more than I've asked for." Kogure replied with a shine in his eyes.

"kami, we're such a bunch of saps!" Sendoh laughed lifting his lover's hands and kissing it tenderly.

"Kira-kun?"

"Yeah?" he replied tightening his grip on Kogure's hand.

"Ai Shiteru. Forever."

"And I do love you. Forever."

Both of them silently watched the dark sky adorned with stars scattered like tiny diamonds. Crickets filled the night with their gentle songs. A small flicker of light wove on the star-filled sky catching the breath of Sendoh.

/A shooting star! / He mused. "Kimi-kun, did you see that?" he focused his gaze on Kogure. His lover's eyes were now closed with a small smile on his lips. Sendoh removed the glasses and kissed him fully on the lips. /I don't need a shooting star for a wish- you've already granted it. /

[jumps like crazy] I finally did it! Sorry if the story is sucky, but I really need to release my morbid thoughts. It was a bit shorter than I thought but, oh well. Hope ya didn't got confused with the flashback bit...

Also, terms like 'Flashback' and 'End of flashback' work wonders!

Hope ya don't mind that I did another fic when I should be writing the next chapter of Crappy Story. Well, different ideas just popped in my mind and I need to eliminate them one by one.
I'm usually a MitKo fan. (no, no, let me rephrase: I'm a fan of anything yaoi)Experimenting with different pairings is fun since a regular MitKo fic gets boring unless there's some twist in the story.
You mentioned a RuKo pairing- to be honest, I've also been thinking in making a fic with those two. My perverted little mind's bogging me ev'rsince I've read some RuKo fics. The first one was titled Brother Knows Best- the one on your shrine and a fic entitled Unrequitted Love. The two fics almost had the same theme: Rukawa falls for Kogure and blah blah blah.
Oh well,enough blabbing for me...

Give me URL to that unrequieted love ficcy??? Please ^_______^ I don't believe I've read it yet...Unless somehow, the title managed to slip out of my mind...that's most probably the case...

Anyways...Heehee...If you ever do write a RuKo, then you have my undying love and gratitude forever...Heehehe...I remember all people who write RuKo ficcys...Heehee...I could enumerate them now if I felt like it...Hehehe...^___^

Yoshi, you should try posting your ficcys at the Babble Club. There's a lot of great people around there and you can get comments and stuff ^__^ I don't believe I've ever seen you around there...

I really can't remember the actual URL where it is actually archived but I've read it on FANFICTION.NET. I believe that the author's name is Yumehime...uh, I forgot the whole name. You should try using the search thingy cause it works wonders! It's really frustrating cause there are only about 900+ SD fics (mostly RuHana and the others, non-yaoi)and pairings with RuKo are very, very, very rare.

Try poking around some other sites somtime.. you'll find tons of other wonderful fics out there , I guarantee it ^^

Hm.. of course if you mean RuKo fics then those ARE indeed still very rare (*looks at laree apologetically* I'm a bad seishi...) but you could try checking out Laree's site ^^ She probably has most of them already ^_^
