I know this is an extremely late reply. I'm just working as a security guard right now at the mall and by the end of this month I'll lose my job because they fire the all the employees after 9 months so they won't get a 'work tenure' because if an employee has 1year+ and they fire him afterwards he can sue get and get a bit of money. Although they recruit them back after a period of 3 months if they wish to.
I actually do spend quit a fair bit of my fair time on the computer, but it's only in a blue moon that the urge to surf these height forums comes back to me. After all it's already been around 9 years ago when I first hit Utah's board.
On a site note just as an overall height observation, working as a guard at the mall I see sh*tloads of people passing by me everyday. I'm 188cm barefoot and about 191~191.5cm with my work steel toe shoes. I see a very common range of 170~180cm for the youngsters. For the older guys it's not rare for them to be under 170cm. It's not that often I see people taller than me although I do see some people that are same height as me or are very close in height. Funny thing is my best friend at work is only 164cm and probably one of the most secure/confident guys I've ever seen regarding hitting all on the young girls we meet at work or beating up anyone that gives us some attitude. And not even once I heard him say 'I wish I was taller' or 'I wish I had your height'.
I must say that myself playing yoyo with my weight I've really screwed up my back (especially lower back). I was a mere 72kg at 18 on my army draft, and in my early 20's already managed to reach a whooping 130kg with a max weight of 136kg(300lbs). My lower back has literally been crippled with years of overweight baggage, just standing next to the sink trying to do the dishes for a couple of minutes would have me arching forward because it felt so tight and painful on the lower back I couldn't stand straight. I'm now around 100kg and my back feels much better than before but still not that good overall so I recon I still need to drop more weight for the back's health. I tried hanging like Ed recommended me and the stretch it gives feels orgasmic although I think my weight is still hindering me from doing stretches and hanging. Well enough ranting for now...
By the way this forum just feels primitive, it holds a lot of great information but where's the search button and where's the stickies... Obviously at the this board was made these message board features was probably not available, but really network54 should innovate a little. I guess that's why lots of new comers have a hard they need to browse page by page looking for info.
I'm very glad to see Joey, Ed, Megabone and all the other old members are still here and well it's been quite a while
