| Hi to all,
I been doing all kind of exercise and stretches constantly for 5 to 6 years. I haven't increase height that I know, never measured to see but I would have notice even 1 inch, if I would have grown it. I do feel alot more straight which is better than nothing & perhaps makes me look a little bit more taller. Right now my main goal is to maintain my height. I would like to know if Standing Shoulder Press Exercise can compress my spine or affect my current height? |

No, it does'n, i am doing it for years, standing the Shoulder Press Exercise, also known as Militairy press, even with a rather heavy weight, my heigth remained the same, i practice some hanging from a bar for several minutes a day, it gives you a good feeling in your back due to the favourable effect on the intervertebrea disc's. i am not focused on H.i. anymore, i am between 1.74 and 1.75, that's okay for me.
If you have problems with your heigth, it often has to do with a psychological problem, except when you are far below average, that doesn't make life much easier, of course it's understandable.
it is easy to say you have to learn to live with it, taller ppl and less taller ppl also have their problems (i can speak or myself), but you have to find a solution, but i don't think you will find it on this forum.

I agree with Ed. But best follow it up with hanging.
Ed, I owe you a private message. I am overly busy. If I do not get to it tomorow, I will have to postpone it until later in April as I am trevelling. In the meantime take care and me and my sister are well too. Don't answer here, as I am monitoring this forum now just about once a month.
