Non Concerned...That is an unfair assumption

March 22 2002, 4:17 PM

How many members do we have at Richland Hills...approximately 4 to 5 Thousand? Look at the church directory, do you really think that there are a third of that many in that directory? My wife and I have attended Richland Hills for 6 years since we were married and we are not listed in the new directory. As a matter of fact, there are many different people we see each and every Sunday that some of them think we are visitors and we think the same of them because we have never met.

By the way, if you look at the 1998 directory, Mac and his wife are pictured.

I respect Mac for the post card that he sent in the mail to encourage them to come and hear Rick's sermon on deaconesses. People, whether they are for or against the deaconess decision, should hear what Rick has to say and go home and study for themselves to see if what he says is true (Acts 17:11). That is true not only for deaconess sermons, but also any other sermon that comes out of any pulpit.

The only people I question are those who do not verify what the elders and Rick say with scripture and blindly follow their decisions and thoughts as if they are gospel. Being the Christian that Rick is, I doubt that Rick would even want someone to take his word on everything without verifying it with scripture. Every preacher, whether he has been preaching for 1 day or 50 years should always have their sermons verified by the members of the congregation.

Indeed, it is.

Non-concerned member, look there, right between the Maynors and the McBrides. This is the last directory we completed--three-ring binder and all.

But, my dear friend, I looked under "non" and "nonconcered" and "member" and did not see you listing in the directory? I even looked under "anonymous," and could not find you?

It is not fun to be attacked. I know that you do not appreciate it and neither would anyone else.

Earlier, I spoke very highly of one of our elders who was mentioned by name. He is a good and honorable man. But so are Mac and Barb--honorable and faithful Christians. Romans 14:27 is clear: whatever does not proceed form faith is sin.

For some of us, the matter of church organization is a matter of faith. To not uphold this teaching and practice would be sinful for me. To just "leave" a congregation and not speak of a doctrinal difficulty would show both a lack of love and courage. Peter, told his listeners to be ready to give a defense for the hope within. That is all we are doing.

I stand corrected

Yes, I made a mistake. In my haste, I overlooked them and jumped to an incorrect conclusion. But I find it odd that They can not sign something they sent to all of the members but I cant not sign my name to this???

I Found it Odd, Also

March 22 2002, 7:12 PM

If the odd finder will back up to the founding statement and originators of the forum you will find, oddly enough the Macs crying:

"We are members at Richland Hills Church of Christ. Last Wednesday night "special servants" were recognized during our assembly and a list of these people, both men and women, were provided to the congregation....

The odd claim is that these sincere people are liars!

So, Odd, let's assume that they are hallucinating, did not attend, did not have copies of the "proof" which proved nothing. Let's assume that they live in, say Nashville. Now, does this suddenly make the PROFESSIONAL DEACONS (ministers) replacing the VOCATIONAL ministers (deacons) suddenly fly off the "record written in heaven?"

Or, have you bought into the Staff Infected idea that "you should not question God's Anointeds"? Or, was I hallucinating when I watched Jubilee 98 on my computer screen when, If I was not hallucinating, the designated change agent introduced something like: "Jubilee 98 - Left-Brain (male) Preacher Learns From Right-Brain (female) Worship"? Was that rider from the plains Rick Atchley or was I hallucinating?

How, then, did you as SENDER get your POST MODERN, post Biblical views then pushed another 90 miles to "my little dead church in the high woods"? Why has that influence from afar helped discord old people and make a great leap forward from 350 members to 250 members still aching from the whip lash all of the way from Fort Worth?

Jubilee 98 spent 1/4 of a million dollars to "facilitate change" where the original agenda was to introduce music and "a wider role for women." Didn't this group sow more discord in Nashville which led to the capture of Madison by the "right brained" (effeminate) chasing off the "left brained" or WORD faithful? Was that a right GIVEN or a wrong GRASPED? As "payee" are you guilty of sowing discord and driving off more than 2,000 members from one congregation? Did you help make the church a LAUGHINGSTOCK in Nashville or not? Where did you get that right? Was your name on a church roll in Nashville which gave you the right to call in the big guns?

Was that your AGENT OF RECORD PAID BY THE ODDS who said "Let's close with prayer. Bow your head, please ...Ask God to put on your heart right now something for your church ... The Spirit will bring something to mind if you are sincere in your asking. Let God right now PUT SOMETHING on your heart and it may be weeks and it may be months and it MAY BE YEARS in coming but if it is from God don't stop asking." Well, it didn't take long at Madison.

This view of a direct operating "spirit" person, according to John Mark Hicks, one of the "crew," was facilitated by Max Lucado and Rubel Shelly in their "incarnational" view which, John hints, may deny that "Christ came fully in the flesh." If I am not mistaken, John Mark alludes to one of those preachers defending your deaconess as major proponent of a wholly new view of the Godhead: unique to 2,000 years of church history.

So, Odd, when you hear people showing sympathy from afar just grasp that much of the hurt among tens of thousands has been facilitated by you and yours. If you are slave to the collection plate or tithing "taxation without representation" then, Odd, you have many thousands of souls on your head who have been "discorded" right out of their churches "of birth." They ARE written in the BOOK and I hope it isn't written: "Charge to Odd." When it comes, and it will come, don't blame the Macs for it. They have scraped your blood off their hands.

How to read a directory

March 25 2002, 11:44 AM

Maybe RHCC needs someone to teach the members how to read a directory. We have been members there for about 11 years and have always been in the directory. Look under McAlister.

I love how you censor those that question

March 26 2002, 7:14 AM

I;ve looked through the postings and you only censor and drop comments of those that are questioning this sites intentions and as long as someone signs ther name they can preach what they believe the bible says and condemn people to hell.

Joe McKnight has attacked people - censor him

Censor Me?

March 27 2002, 2:28 PM

They have, do, and will. I'd say about 3/4 of my post get through and some of them are edited. (there was that time that most of my posts on the Sunday School in exile got zapped, I don't count them in the 3/4) I guess I'm to deep sometimes, and the shoe leather is to hard to chew. With this limited forum (due to my writing skills) all I can do is plant the seeds of truth, and let the Holy Spirit make'm grow. Oh, ain't that what we are suppose to do anyway. And by the way I only attack HIRELINGS, because they are evil, and Jesus warned us about them, as noted in my other post: I think it made it to the board? It was one I responded to someone acusing me of attacking churches: how absurd. I believe they were just trying to make me look bad, or they were a Hireling that got their feelings hurt.
All I can tell you is keep posting, some, if not most, get through.

To God be the Glory
Joe McKnight

...........................THE BOOK

What Happened At the Madison Church of Christ?

There are thousands of churches being taken over across America.

This book is only about one of those churches. It's about the Madison Church Of Christ. By studying the methods used here along with the resource references you might be able to inoculate your church. At the very least you will recognize the signs early on.

Many of the current members of the Madison Church of Christ still don't know what happened.
Some never will know! This book is for them as well.

Madison Church of Christ was a 60 year old church. At one time it was one of the largest churches in the US, and the largest Church of Christ.

It thrived for many years on the vision of it's elders and those of it's ministers. Those visions undoubtably came from the the inspired word of Jesus Christ.

At sometime in the last 10 years there was a deliberate plan by a majority of the elders to take the Madison Church of Christ into a more worldly realm.

They used secrecy, covert planning, and outside sources to scheme and to change the format and direction of the Madison Church of Christ.

The Elders knew that the membership would never approve such a plan. Using the tools of the "Community Church Movement"(consultants, books, seminars, meetings, planters, seeders) they slowly started initiating change so it was never noticed by the members until it was too late.....

At the heart of the plan was the fact that old members were going to be driven off so new techniques could be used to go out and reach the unchurched through new "Contemporary Holy Entertainment" methods developed by the "Community Church Movement"

Old members had to be kept on board long enough to get their plans ready, or the funds would not be there to pay for the new building. So by the plans very nature, it had to be secret.

The church had no plan in effect to renew or approve elders. There was never any need. The elders had always been "as approved by God". 10 of the last 15 elders would begin to shed some doubt on that.

The Elders did not even need a majority at first, because some of the elders went along unwittingly.

This edition starts shortly after some of the members begin to smell something strange in January 2001. Later editions may go back and fill in some of the timeline.

To even start to understand whats happening here, you must read the background materials in the first of the book.

This is only the first edition, and not the end. New editions will be printed as needed. To keep abreast of current changes, please visit our web site; http://www.concernedmembers.com/madison

Here is the list of players;

5 Godly Elders
10 Not so Godly Elders
120 "Deacons" (allegiance unknown)
2,800 - 4,000 church "members"
2 "teners" (people who have publicly confessed to have broken all ten commandments)
Unknown number of "sinners" (This is what the 10 elders call us.)
Unknown number of "demons" (Flying everywhere, to many to count)
