When he slanders with the use of ANTI-instrumental churches of Christ is a PLANNED PLOY of the change agents. By identifying any objectors as ANTI-instrumentalists he uses the old INTIMIDATION which they ALL use with no shame.

The churches of Christ along with ALL CHURCH history for most of the time are doing what they are COMMANDED TO do.

I believe that is the REVERS of the BLASPHEM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT and I say that it is.

There you have it: you get an impulse to write a book or SOW DISCORD. You check and find that there is no legalistic command which says, "Thou shalt not DELIVERATELY SOW DISCORD and violate DIRECT COMMANDS and ADD." Therefore, "it seems good to me, the SENIOR PASTOR to the Holy Spirit that I can claim direct inspiration to say as as others have said, less SUBTILLY: ''Get OVER it or get OUT."

I think that the Holy Spirit spoke to them (since they were literate) through Leviticus 17 and 18 for Gentiles living among the Israelites. Remember that the prophets were guided by God:

Jesus promised the APOSTLES ONLY to "guide them into all truth." He did not promise this to RICK or the ELDERS in Texas. I have listened to Rick Atchley's second sermon PROVING that God commanded instrumental music for Richland Hills even if elders have to flee and people have to choose between MUSIC and their FAMILIES. There is not a SINGLE example he used as PROOF which does not JUDGE him if he could pause and listen to the Spirit OF Christ in the propets. Why would people SHOUT out thunderings against a BIBLICALLY CORRECT people in order to CONFORM to some personal urge to UNITE the Restoration movement which was NEVER joined in the first place. The Stone Campbell heresy causes the problems by trying to connect Churches of Christ to the Witchcraft at Cane Ridge. I can only pick one item at a time and if Ricky could PROVE his deliberate sowing of discord he would find ONE example and not have to wash away truth with a flood. I don't blame him for not debating that college kid--or any two of my three daughters when they were 16.

Neither Psallo or Zamar or Nagan or any word defines PLAYING ON A HARP. Psallo never had any musical meaning before, during or after the time of Paul. The word meant to PLUCK and no one will ever find ANY literature which has PSALLO meaning to PLAY a HARP with or without singing. I have never seen PSALLO to mean either SING or "play an instrument." Paul had several dedicated compounds to have used such as PsalmODIA (sing to a harp). Paul said SPEAK one to another in the EXTERNAL sense. Then the singing AND melody was in the PLACE of the heart of spirit which is where God looks for our worship but NOT according to what He hears or sees (Isa 11).

Rick alludes to many passages but never pauses to speak THE WHOLE TRUTH about any of them. Josephus was not ignorant.

But, did Josephus give Ricky authority to SOW DISCORD by making Psallo or Zamar DEMAND singing AND using an instrument. That is what he said but he has never read about dedicatory or temple PLAGUE STOPPING animal sacrifices. If he WANTS to use the instrument then ANIMAL SACRIFICES come with it and he is BACK on the wrong side of the Cross. That is why he is CROSS? He is forced OUT into the PARKING lot EVEN if the dark blackness was God's presence in the temple. No one ever burned animals IN the Temple and Jesus COULD NOT enter where the Levites made a GREAT CRASHING NOISE.

What Ricky missed is that PSALLO is never a MUSICAL WORD: it simply means to PLUCK WITH THE FINGERS and for the elders edification it means NEVER WITH A PLECTRUM. Therefore, PSALLO would OUTLAW using a guitar pick, beating on cymbals and otherr things or blowing pipes. IF you pluck a bow string to send forth a "singing" arrow then you are doing warfare. If you translate it PLAY then the most common meaning of PLAY in both Greek and Hebrew means to play sexually and usually homosexually as ALL of the religious musicians practiced.

Psallo is not the word for melody and it has a musical meaning ONLY in the sense that you SHOOT OUT HYMNS or "make the heart strings sing" and both of these are often used. If you say PLUCK you have to say whether it means pubic hair or a harp string. Then, you can only PULL it and suddenly let go: no strumming.

I think Ricky got all of his false doctrine which he SHOOTS like an arrow to deliberately sow discord from reading false teachers without checking the proof text. I am sure that he got his JOSEPHUS stuff from A. Ralph Johnson who probably got it from Tom Burgess who quotes ALL of those ancient documents PROVING the music - homosexual connection. I quote Ralph because HE at least quotes the passage:

You MUST have noticed that Ralph has TRUMPED himself. Firstly, the word is RECITE. Moses RECITED his "Song of Moses" and others SO THAT others could be TAUGHT and return to their tribes to teach that which had been taught. While the Psalms were written to be chanted with the points for EMPHASIS and NOT tune they are NOT metrical. Poetry is defined as NOT METRICAL and NOT musical. No one ever used evem metrical chanting in the church. Paul used the word SPEAK which in actual texts EXCLUDES music.

Secondly, the word "psalein" or playing has NO meaning until you tell it WHAT to Play. With David and the girls it was MAKING MYSELF VILE which is the meaning of HALAL. Singing is a THIRD thing you must define if you want to SING, PLAY and play upon what. For instance, one of the passages Ricky missed and remembering that Lucifer is Satan as was personified by the kings of Babylon and of Tyre:
