There you have it: WE disruped the "something" by NOT being forced to "worship with instrumental praise" whatever that means.

Churches of Christ were NEVER part of the Disciples of Christ which always used music and supported a denominational structure calculated according to Garrison to INCLUDE ALL OF CHRISTENDOM. The separate count in 1906 was a COUNT and not a separation.

The Christian Church is the only ones who SEPARATED and disfellowshipped the DISCIPLES in 1926. Therefore, it would be sorta impossible to DIVIDE from the Christian Church which was not founded for another ten years.

Therefore, this is the COMMON agreed-upon mantra to BLAME the victim for bleeding on the dancing slippers of the one who shot you in the heart. Why do they lie about this? Because it WORKS.

I still insist that Isaiah 30 makes HELL a place specificially prepared for LUCIFER (Eden, Tyre, Babylon, end time Mother of Whores using musicians as Sorcerers). But, stealing and hostility will also get the job done. Dwaine E. Dunning makes it REAL in saying that "we need to take an AXE to the non-instrumental position." I don't know how you can do it unless you exercise violence on those who PREACH it with ALL known history on our favor.

God DID NOT COMMAND a temple, says Stephen (etal) but gave it as a CONCESSION to David. David would continue to be one of the kings CHOSEN to carry out the captivity and death sentence. However, to worship the STARRY HOST to which they had been abandoned they needed a TEMPLE. David got it wrong about WHY he couldn't build the temple and God corrected it by saying that "God just doesn't dwell in houses built by hands)

The Bible CORRECTS Atchley over and over but if he does not know the historical setting he has gone beyond redemption to use Biblical and historical illiteracy to DELIBERATELY sow discord. Blind people who follow the blind (deaf, but not dumb) have no pity from God.

No one in church history MISSunderstood it: the mystic Jews who wrote the Kabbala belatedly grasped what Atchely can never grasp after blaspheming the Spirit of Christ and making Him lie. Contra Rick: NO ONE could read any of the Bible especially 1 Chronicles 6 and NOT see that he is NOT authorized to add ANIMAL SACRIFICE MUSIC even OUTSIDE of the "church house."

First, note that specific families of the tribe of Levi were named: if you were not a Levite and tried to perform any of these services you would get into trouble. As a singer or musician who SERVED the priests and not God, you would never be allowed past the "parking lot." This was a MAKES WORK PROJECT for the surplus warrior Levites. Just before the time of Christ these "GIs" were put to work building buildings and walls and not playing "music." The ARK HAD REST means that the wars were over.

Scholars KNOW VERY WELL that David moved away from MOSES and "introduced a new style of praise." This, of course, was part of ASTRIAL or SABAZIANISM worship to which God had ABANDONED them because of the musical idolatry at Mount Sina. How can any literate perso GULP UP a form of worship which God IMPOSED on Israel as a CURSE as anyone reading Samuel would know?

Paul, in Hebrews 12, says the NADAB AND ABIHU "patternism" is still in effect for those who DO NOT come before God in "reverence and Godly fear"

The Levites got a DAILY DOLE OF BREAD while on duty ONLY. They then returned to their own homes or purchased farms and if they needed a NEW CHARIOT they worked for it like all honest people. ALL priestly functionaries had a DAY JOB just a Paul commanded, exampled and church history defends.

2. Only PRIESTS are allowed inside of the Holy Place (church) and the Presence of God after they have accepted the sacrifice of Jesus (made with musical mocking) and have been WASHED.
3. BOTH the "instruments" and "harps" in Revelation are the PRAYERS of the individual priest--no one required to MEDIATE in song and prayer.
4. That is so that when you see the Abomination of Desolation (music, sex, homosexual) being PERFORMED in the Holy Place (podium in church architecture) you recognize the MARK and flee from Babylon.

None of the christian church writers have EVER found any authority for PSALLO which the Disciples invented FOR THE FIRST TIME IN HISTORY in 1878 without AUTOMATICALLY telling people that they are PATTERNING themselves after of nasty males plucking the harp seducing 'youth ministers of the gods' ALWAYS worshiping MOTHER GODDESSES. That is why Rick and the elders are in MORTAL SIN and all based on EVERYONE lifting verses out of the lexicon without EVER haveing read or CARED that the Spirit OF Christ is sending STRONG DELUSIONS as a TERMINAL MARK.

The elders have to CHOOSE between Rick or the Bible: Yes, I know that once you build a mega-temple it is hard to rock the boat but we already know WWJD: He would abandon it and flee and write it off as a loss leader if you are REAL Christians. Rick makes the fabricated reasons why NO ONE used instruments and considered them SIN because they understood that EKKLESIA does not mean a "pagan worship center." Card class 101aaa knows that you don't DO music when the Master Teacher covenants to gather with us to REST and learn.

TRUTH SPEAKER: No one would have faulted the church if they had LOUD SINGING in the school of Tyrannus (an open forum, not a schoolhouse). In fact, the three CULTS of interest in Romans 14 were ALL musical: the FOOD preference is an IDENTIFIER only. Paul OUTLAWED debate or discord about these personal practices and in Romans 15 DEFINED PERFECTLY the ekklesia or synagogue as a SCHOOL OF THE BIBLE. "Praise Him with the sound of trumpet ; "for with sound of trumpet He shall raise the dead.

"Praise Him on the psaltery ; "for the TONGUE is the psaltery of the Lord.
"And praise Him on the lyre." By the lyre is meant the MOUTH struck by the Spirit, as it were by a PLECTRUM.

"Praise with the timbrel and the dance," refers to the Church meditating on the resurrection of the dead in the resounding skin.
"Praise Him on the chords and organ." Our body He calls an organ, and its nerves are the strings,
by which it has received harmonious tension, and when struck by the Spirit, it gives forth human voices.
"Praise Him on the clashing cymbals." He calls the tongue the cymbal of the mouth, which resounds with the pulsation of the lips.

Therefore He cried to humanity,
"Let every breath praise the Lord," because He cares for every breathing thing which He hath made . For man is truly a pacific instrument; while other instruments, if you investigate, you will find to be warlike, inflaming to lusts, or kindling up amours, or rousing wrath.

In their wars, therefore, the Etruscans use the trumpet, the Arcadians the pipe, the Sicilians the pectides, the Cretans the lyre, the Lacedaemonians the flute, the Thracians the horn, the Egyptians the drum, and the Arabians the cymbal.

which those expert in war and contemners of the fear of God were wont to make use of
also in the choruses at their festive assemblies;
that by such strains they might raise their dejected minds. But let our genial feeling in drinking be twofold, in accordance with the law.

For "if thou shalt love the Lord try God," and then "thy neighbour,"

The NIV is the PRO-MUSIC Bible of Choice and it has no reason to add STRINGS here:

Scholars know that there is NO MUSICAL content in this verse. Even if it did it applied to David and not the SPIRITUAL Messiah. God doesn't drag around girls and wimpy males OUT where one must KNOW a crucified Christ and not JUST PREACH "the cross." Amos contrasted with Acts 7 will show that what Rick DEMANDS is exactly what this MISTRANSLATION teaches him.

Sounds like David and Apollyon but NOT like Messiah! May sound like mega-preachers who accept worship for themselves and seek to add more STAFF which all of history knows was to GIVE GLORY to the Alpha Male of the tribe. That is what David was saying but DAVID was "a man after God's own heart" in THE FIRST WAYS OF DAVID. However, that just means that GOD PICKED HIM. And Samuel has God making it PERFECTLY CLEAR that the kings were selected to CARRY OUT THE CAPTIVITY AND DEATH SENTEENCE IMPOSED BECAUSE OF MUSICAL IDOLATRY If you WORSHIP serpents God SENDS you serpents: if you worship MUSIC god sends you MUSIC. If you whine about food god SENDS you quail until it RUNS OUT OF YOUR NOSTRILES. Smell good?

The ceremonies generate the atmosphere which in due time produces the anti-Christian beliefs. The candles, crosses, crucifixes, images, incense, vestments, and ornate ritual of the English Church have promoted the pro-Romish movement there. These have powerfully contributed to change the Ritualisers into Romanisers; and, on this side of the Border, a similar educational process is going rapidly forward. The late Bishop Forbes, of Dundee, adverted with satisfaction to the fact that "everywhere around us, even in systems with which we have no theological affinity, we see the aid of architecture invocated in the construction of churches,

and the unattractive forms of Presbyterian worship are being modified by the introduction of chanted Psalms, organs,
and other accessories of Divine worship which would have horrified the last generation."

In the public services of the house of God on the Lord's day, and in many Presbyterian Churches, there are anthems, sentences, responses, solos, organ voluntaries, instrumental quartets, hymnals, prayer books, vestments, apses, altars, crosses, and other accompaniments of a ritualistic worship.

There is the ritualism against which Spurgeon uttered no uncertain sound when he said that he would

"like to see all the pipes of the organs in our Nonconformist places of worship either ripped open or compactly filled with concrete;"
and "what a degradation to supplant the intelligent song of the whole congregation

by the theatrical prettiness of a quartet, the refined niceties of a choir, or
the blowing of wind from inanimate bellows and pipes." [Lifeless Instruments or Carnal Weapons]

There is the ritualism against which a Young Men's Association in Dublin protested

by declining to countenance a jubilee meeting in St. Paul's, London, because of the reredos.

There is the ritualism against which the congregation in the west rose in righteous revolt,
compelling a promise from the Presbyterian incumbent to cease his mystic movements at the table of the Lord.

There is the ritualism against which, in St. Giles' once, Janet Geddes kindled the spark of a noble rebellion - a liturgy in the house of God.

There is the ritualism against which George Gillespie delivered a destructive blow by his work on "English-Popish Ceremonies Obtruded on the (Reformed) Church of Scotland" the ritualism of saints' days and holy days, and in which he described these and other ceremonies as the "twigs and spriggs of Popish superstition."

These and other similar rites and ceremonies have been repudiated by the Presbyterianism of this northern kingdom without a dissentient voice for the last 300 years.

I must decline concurring with those who accuse the ritualists in the Presbyterian Churches of a deliberate conspiracy to overthrow the Protestant faith.

But it is probably impossible to devise any better methods for that purpose than those adopted by the ritualists.

If a number of ministers in Presbyterian charges where no ritualism exists were to resolve to ritualise and Romanise their congregations, could they adopt better measures than those in operation by ritualists?

This is similar to Lynn Anderson's "navigating the winds of change" when the groupies were BLOWING the winds of change. It is articulated by Plato, Machiavelli (quoted by Shelly to explain the "slows"), Le bonn, Hitler, Gramsci and The Purpose Driven Cult. Why don't they OUT their hidden agenda? Because you would, as Lynn warns, probably FIRE them. Therefore, they have to soften you up like boiling a frog. YOU ARE THE FROGS.

Their plan of campaign would be marked by the following stages at considerable intervals:

1. adverse comments on the simplicity of the worship observed;
2. a choir, who would alone sing;
3. a hymnal, with hymns from Romish sources, [NOT the Bible] and
4. frequent use of hymns by Newman and other notable Romanists;
5. a harmonium in the Sabbath school;
6. an organ in the church (a gift if possible);
7. occasional references to Protestants as bigots;
8. frequent use of the terms "the church," "holy communion," and "holy orders;"
9. a new church in shape of a cross, with chancel, nave, organ loft, apse, altar, and reredos;
10. introduction of saints' days and holy days, including Ash Wednesday, Maunday Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday, and Easter Sunday; crosses, crosiers; candles; incense; thurifers; and so on.

Would not such ministers and their congregations be ready for union with the Church of England Romanisers? Would they not be toying all this time with the trinkets of Babylon? Of the Church yielding to such rites in the period after the first Reformation, Gillespie wrote that

"her lovely locks are frizzled with the crisping pins of anti-Christian fashions."
Multitudes of moderate drinkers never, indeed, become drunkards,
but the drunkards are recruited from the ranks of the moderates, and those who fall into ritualistic habits, little by little, incur the risk of being fully Romanised. These two ritualisms, when closely examined, are seen to be exactly alike in their underlying principle.Both arise on the assumption of a right on the part of the worshipper to exercise his own will in forms of service and matters of faith.They both do obeisance to a human authority in the house of God; they exalt the human will to a place of at least equality with the Divine will.

In discussing this question the late Principal Cunningham, of the Free Church, quoted the words: "A show of wisdom in will-worship," and proceeded:

"A most exact description of the rites and ceremonies which the Church has introduced in the exercise of her fancied power. They are will-worship, as being invented or devised by men themselves, without any sanction or warrant from God; and they have a show of wisdom, as some of them were originally introduced from an honest though mistaken intention to promote the right and acceptable worship of God; and all of them are professedly directed to that object."

The germinating principle at the root of ritualism and Popery is one and the same.The principle

thrusts out the sovereignty of God from the house of God,
and welcomes the authority of man;
it dethrones Deity and enthrones humanity. A revolution is soon effected by it in the regions of worship and belief.
Churches become concert-rooms, and no longer sanctuaries of the Lord of Hosts;
and the services no longer worship INTENDED to be acceptable to God, but, performances to ATTRACT the people.

In the region of belief, the Church teaches for doctrines, the commandments of men
and thus, eventually shutting out God, the minds of men are DEPRIVED of liberty, and their souls of everlasting life.

The Bible says it over and over and one meaning of the BURDEN Jesus died to remove is SINGING which always creates spiritual anxiety and therefore is used by Satan whose SPIRIT is the FATHER, says Jesus, of those wh 'speakon their own."

I have heard what the prophets said, that prophesy lies in my name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed. Jer 23:25

You must understand that the UNIVERSAL, agreed-upon lie it to accuse those seeking to RESTORE the church BY cutting the FAT (if you know what I mean). People who thus lie cannot READ that God communicates (like preachers) through Direct commands, examples and necessary inferences. You will search in vain to find a church father or true scholar who DENIED God the right they take for themselves. Rick Atchley claims that NONE of them were against Music for "good" reasons when ALL of them were against it.

John Knox detected the essence of this principle when he wrote: "I would ask if Jesus Christ be not King and Head of His Kirk. Then it becometh the Kirk of Jesus Christ to admit what He speaketh, to receive and embrace His laws,

and when He maketh end of speaking or law-giving then to rest.
All worship, honouring, or service invented by the brain of man in the religion of God without His express commandment is idolatry." This also defines the PHARISEES while the HYPOCRITES are "speakers, singers, musicians and actors."

The great Scriptural principle, which alone is fitted to PROTECT the Church of Christ from Ritualism and Romanism,
is that nothing is to be admitted into the worship of God which is not approved in the Word of God.

Peter claimed a face to face revelation of TRUTH which was validated by miracles. He lays down the principle that the elders must "teach that which HAS BEEN taught. This is the MARK to identify FALSE TEACHERS. If the ADD, SUBTRACT or MODIFY including private interpretation meaning "further expounding" this is a MARK of a false teacher. Only by "closing the book and locking it" is it possible to have a STRAIGHT STICK by which to compare the CROOKED STICKS.

This principle is explained by the assembly of English, Scottish, and Irish divines who met at Westminster, 300 years ago, when they condemned

"all devising, counselling, commanding, using, or anywise approving any religious worship not instituted by God Himself; and corrupting the worship of God, adding to it, or taking from it, whether invented and taken up of ourselves, or received by tradition from others, though under the title of antiquity, custom, devotion, good intent, or any other pretence whatsomever."

There is no other measuring line for the sanctuary

which can protect the Church from the wildest fancies in worship,
and the people from the tyranny of ministers and majorities in imposing the fashions they see fit.

If the majority in one congregation prefer an organ to all other instruments of music, and impose it on a minority,

then majorities in other congregations may have and impose different instruments, and instruments that may be much more acceptable to them, as fiddles, the bagpipes, and banjos.

On the Law of Silence used ONLY by the musical SECTARIANS.

If it is proper to introduce any rites and ceremonies not expressly prohibited in the Scriptures, then there is no barrier against the admission, if a majority wish it, of all the rites and ceremonies of the ritualists and Romanists. The whole ritualistic and Romish wardrobe and apparatus can be justified, with crucifixes, incense, candles, and whole Pontifical ceremonial.

The will of the King in Zion is thus despised, and human tastes and fancies run riot in the courts of the Lord. "In all ways," writes Charnock,
"men have been forward to disfigure God's models and dress up a brat of their own.

It is NATURAL for men to worship God in a human way, and not in a Divine. As though God had not understanding enough to prescribe the form of His own worship, and not wisdom enough to support it WITHOUT the crutches of human prudence. Human prudence is too low to parallel Divine wisdom; it is an incompetent judge of what is fit, for an Infinite Majesty.

Though in this they do not seem to climb up above God, yet
they set themselves in the throne of God, envy Him an absolute monarchy, would be sharers with Him in His legislative power,
and grasp one end of His sceptre in their own hands."

This and MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS IS THE LUCIFER OR JUDAS GOAT PRINCIPLE.

The Reformers fearlessly applied this principle to the Church at the REFORMATION, and delivered her from all those rites and ceremonies for which no Scriptural warrant could be produced. Acting upon it, they thrust out altars, crosses, images, liturgies, and the material adjuncts and ceremonies of human invention in use. The General Assembly of the Church of Scotland, in a letter to the Assembly at Westminster, wrote that: "We were greatly refreshed to hear of your praiseworthy proceedings, and of the great good things the Lord hath wrought among you and for you.

Shall it seem a small thing in our eyes that many corruptions, as altars, images, and other monuments of idolatry and superstition
are removed, defaced, and abolished; the service-book in many places forsaken;
the great organs at Paul's and Peter's taken down."

It was because this principle was so thoroughly applied that Knox could boldly say:
"All others retain some footsteps of anti-Christ and some dregs of Popery, but we (all praise to God alone) have nothing within our churches that ever flowed from that man of sin;"

and that Rutherford could joyously say: "It is not brick nor clay, nor Babel's cursed timber and stones, that is in our sacred temple, but our blessed King Jesus is building His house, all palace work and carved stones: it is the habitation of the Lord."

If the Protestant Churches of the land are to be delivered from the pro-Romish influences at work, this principle, which rejects all forms and ceremonies which have no Scriptural warrant, must be again fearlessly enforced.

The trustees who would administer the estate of a testator in ways not prescribed by the deed of their incorporation, would expose themselves to an action of serious issues in the highest Courts of the land;

and why should administrators of the will and testament of the great King travel beyond the provisions of that will, and attempt to extend it by measures for which no warrant can be produced from the Trust-deed?

And why would anyone give to the LORD knowing that it will probably be DIVERTED to the personal use and aggrandisement of the ADMINISTRATOR.

The MARK of the Beast is well defined throughout Scripture which is a POINTER to pagan religions but which can be read only by those with A holy spirit and who GUARDS their spirit by worshiping ONLY in that place because "outside there be DOGS" who along with the musical sorcerers in Revelation have a special place for them NAMED after the TAMBOURINE.

Speaking of Niceta approving singing AS OPPOSED to silent "singing in the heart," when MUSICAL DISCORD struck as late as the FOURTH CENTURY Allan Moray notes:

It is clear that to some Christians the new fascination with music in worship seemed a dangerous novelty. Some use of music had long been made, and Basil refers to A hymn already old by his time;14

but it had been relatively unimportant and had gone unnoticed by those who now fought against church music.

Now some monks aimed to spend their whole lives singing psalms, and many ordinary Christians seem to have been attracted to Christian music at the expense of other aspects of Christian devotion.

Of all forms of art, music belongs most obviously to the moment, to those who make and hear the music.

There is nothing to hear before it starts or after it is finished; it does not persist in the same form, but must be experienced anew in a different recreation.

Whereas the people listened to a reading from the other Scriptures, the whole congregation could join in singing a psalm, and share publicly with one another their commitment to its message.

whereas the Psalms drew people's attention and entered their memories:

Yet while few theologians remained untroubled by certain aspects of music, for the great majority of Christians the troubling power of music could also be directed to good ends, including contemplation and praise of God. [Probably NOT possible]

Augustine notes that even elephants and bears are moved by singing, 22 De Musica 1.4(5)
but he hoped that the highest faculties as well as the lowest could be moved by music.
The new Christian music rejected all instruments except the human voice.

Niceta, and all Bible readers, understood that the instruments which made NOISE were all part of the CORPORAL INSTITUTIONS and these had been IMPOSED by divine permission when the ELDERS fired God and hired a king LIKE THE NATIONS. The "civilians" were quarantined FROM the secular animal sacrifices BY the loud noise made by instruments meaning MACHINES meaning DOING WORK in the Service (hard bondage) of the Levitical Warrior Musicians.

The CARNAL ORDINANCES pertained ONLY to the flesh and could not make the conscience pure. De Facto, the Loud NOISE and not music COULD Not have any abiding value. King, kingdom, temple, sacrifices: all added BECAUSE of sin beyond redemption.

According to Niceta, 'Only the corporal institutions have been rejected, like circumcision, the sabbath, sacrifices, discrimination in foods. So, too, the trumpets, harps, cymbals and timbrels.

For the sound of these we now have a better substitute in the music from the mouths of men.'

Niceta's description of instruments as an unnecessary MATERIAL observance,

Audible music is blamed for manipulating people's emotions and persuading them to sin.
'And you are in no way to think this was said about those numbers shameful theatres resound with,'
we are reminded, 'but about those, I believe,

the soul does not receive from the body, but receiving from God on high it rather impresses on the body.'

John Chrysostom warns against 'cymbals, auloi, and songs full of fornication and adultery' at weddings, while
according to Theodoret it was the Egyptians who taught the Israelites
'to sacrifice to idols and demons, to play, to dance, and to take pleasure in musical instruments.

A Christian decision to disapprove of all practical music could have been justified in a relatively straightforward way: no longer was such outward action required to communicate with God; Christians should worship spiritually,

Even the sinful woman at the well could grasp the CLEAR statement of Jesus that worship (paying attention to) is in the PLACE of the SPIRIT once it becomes A holy spirit at baptism. I don't know how you can sink so low that you SELL the notion that you PAY ATTENTION to God when allof the singers and musicians are SUCKING UP all of your attention: and THEY know it.

"The triumphal hymn of Moses had unquestionably a religious character about it; but the employment of music in religious services, though idolatrous, is more distinctly marked in the festivities which attended the erection of the golden calf." (Smith's Bible Dictionary, Music, p. 589).
