Anyone who CLAIMS that Amos does not condemn instrumental music in worship and that he was just condemning a BAD MENTAL attitude does not have the mental machinery or wish to know the truth. It is this very unlearned view of the Bible which is the FOUNDATION upon which people introduce instruments based on THERE IS NO LAW WHICH SAITH "THOU SHALT NOT USE INSTRUMENTS IN CHURCH." So THEY are the only ones who uses the LAW OF SILENCE and that makes them LEGALISTS as all of the music words prove.
Rick Atchley says that no honest person could read the Bible and find any condemnation of INSTRUMENTAL PRAISE. I say that someone has NEVER READ the Bible. Only those who have rejected love for TRUTH and who have been deluded with blindness and deafness could read the Bible and find nothing because it is not written in Braile: Jesus says that it is all written in PARABLES to fool the fools who USE the Word like weapons for their on profit. Isaiah 48 defines WHY?
One of the curses was that the KING would take the boys to make INSTRUMENTS OF CHARIOTS which includes MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS to run before his and the warrior's chariots like any oriental despot usurping the role of God. God also began to carry out the captivity and death sentence and the kings WERE CHOSEN to do that and not do TEMPLE WORSHIP.
Now, Acts 7, which they missed, has Stephen identifying as liars those who say that the music was not a problem: "they just had a BAD MENTAL ATTITUDE." Sure, father and son go to the same temple prostitute is just a BAD MENTAL ATTITUDE. Taking up MANY offerings so the wives could have more WINE.

NOR could they drink WINE in the temple but they did. Bad mental attitude or sin?

Most scholars note that it is the FORM which they acted out their worship: Their musical idolatry was CAUSED by their idolatrous spirit. This is quite identical to the musical idolatry at Mount sinai TO WHICH God had abandoned them BECAUSE of musical idolatry. How canany preacher not see that this was more than a bad attitude but the CURSE being worked out first and then in Judah.

However, too many false preachers treat this as NOTHING WRONG WITH THEIR WORSHIP: they just had a bad mental attitude. King Solomon was a great purveyor of the existence of Moloch. He even erected a temple for worship on a hill overlooking Jerusalem.

The worshipped the HEAVENLY HOST as a DEATH SENTENCE: Rick Atchley is trying to do the same thing. The lesson is that Jehovah is THE GOD of the hosts. "Why worship the mystic Piper instead of the Creator of the piper."
Tell either side that the TEMPLE was part of the curse and they WILL HURT YOU.

You cannot blame the MUSICAL IDOLATERS for using THE LAW OF SILENCE to add instruments when the "conservatives" insist that God COMMANDED INSTRUMENTAL WORSHIP (Agreeing with Rick Atchley) but that God CHANGED HIS MIND. Jesus warned that "doctors of the law take away the key to knowledge and here is the thesis of Lipscomb "Seeing the Lord Lifted Up." Well, HE is too heavy for US to lift up with music of ANY kind.
Terry Briley at Lipscomb: "The book of Isaiah begins with an analysis of Israel's worship. Outwardly, there's nothing wrong. But their hearts are not engaged and their lives are disconnected from their worship."
I am sure that he must have missed the Musical Idolatry at Mount Sinai?
Because of musical idolatry at Mount Sinai, God turned Israel over to worship the Starry Host. This included Saturn whose number is 666. He is Molech, Remphan, Chiun and many other names pointing directly to MUSICAL IDOLATRY AND PROSTITUTION.
When Israel's elders "fired" God and demanded a king like he NATIONS they meant to be able to worship like the nations:

Therefore, the worship in Israel and even in Judah at Jerusalem the musical worship was LIKE THE NATIONS to whom god had "married" them when they polluted His Covenant of Grace.
You can CONNECT as many hearts to musical idolatry as you wish but it will still be idolatry. TOO bad that we have to depend on both sides to DENY what the Bible SPEAKS OVER AND OVER AND OVER.

I have posted a version of the Stephen-Amos parallel to prove that telling people the truth about the Temple and all that went with it causes even conservatives to GNASH their teeth worse than musical idolaters. Most younger preachers have been indoctrinated with the false notion that God did not condem the PRACTICES which was the musical idolatry prophesied for them at Mount Sinai but their BAD MENTAL ATTITUDE. The Book of Enoch and similar writings show that after people have been suckered into musich by Satan they grasp that they have "fallen and cannot get up." However, their new occupation is to seek AFFIRMATION to give them aid and comfort until, as prophesied, God comes with ten thousands of his saints to execute judgment on them. If the are so CONFIDENT that God COMMANDED INSTRUMENTAL PRAISE and "we should be obedient" that they are driven into dishonest just seeking AFFIRMATION that we are ok for SOWING DISCORD even if YOU don't add instruments. You have noticed that Rick Atchley following other Disciples uses the hate word ANTI-instrumental to define those who CONTINUE to preach against music but you are OKEY DOKEY if you affirm that THEY ARE SCRIPTURALLY SAFE.
Dionysus, in fact, is the eternal New Wineskin god which permeated the whole world under different names. It is a fact that the Jews DID NOT worship Jehovah but applied His name to Dionysus and contemporaneous history notes that the GOD OF THE JEWS was Dionysus and the "acted parables" in fact all repudiate one form or another of his practices. They anticipated that Messiah would be Dionysus and that is why they expected that John would were SOFT clothing of the usual street preacher who would be homosexual. Jesus identified the people as children PIPING in the Agora or marketplace trying to get Jesus and everyone to SING and DANCE the "bowing to Baal" painful initiation.

it's ministers. Those visions undoubtably came from the the inspired word
of Jesus Christ.
At sometime in the last 10 years there was a deliberate plan by a majority
of the elders to take the Madison Church of Christ into a more worldly
realm.
They used secrecy, covert planning, and outside sources to scheme and
to change the format and direction of the Madison Church of Christ.
The Elders knew that the membership would never approve such a plan.
Using the tools of the "Community Church Movement"(consultants, books,
seminars, meetings,planters,seeders) they slowly started initiating change
so it was never noticed by the members until it was too late.....
At the heart of the plan was the fact that old members were going to
be driven off so new techniques could be used to go out and reach the unchurched
through new "Contemporary Holy Entertainment" methods developed by the
"Community Church Movement"
Old members had to be kept on board long enough to get their plans ready,
or the funds would not be there to pay for the new building. So by the
plans very nature, it had to be secret.
The church had no plan in effect to renew or approve elders. There was
never any need. The elders had always been "as approved by God". 10 of the last
15 elders would begin to shed some doubt on that.
The Elders did not even need a majority at first, because some of the
elders went along unwittingly.
This edition starts shortly after some of the members begin to smell
something strange in January 2001. Later editions may go back and fill
in some of the timeline.
