How does this relate to your thesis?
March 7 2012, 11:02 AM
I don't have a thesis: I quote Christ speaking through Isaiah and looking at how the words He used are used in context in other literature and quote scholars who affirm the meaning of worship of a people abandoned to "worship the starry host."
Isaiah 58 is very short: if you read it in any version it will absolutely OUTLAW what performers claim to be a "worship service." Read the whole chapter and the other message of Christ about His promised rest FROM what you impose on the widows and hard working honest people you FLEECE claiming that they must OBEY A LAW.
Shame, shame, shame.

None of the above is legitimate. This is a crude attempt to browbeat people into accepting your somewhat convoluted theology using terror tactics. You are no Bible student and you need to quit posting this nonsense.
March 7 2012, 4:27 PM
You haven't read Isaiah 58 in English yet: that is why you are going to pay what Paul called a kleptomai in connection with the SELF pleasure (Romans 14). You will deliberately tell Christ to SHUT YOUR FACE.
And you have not intention of "using one mind and one mouth to speak that which is written for our learning" (Romans 15). You will listen to silly simon sing some effeminate praise song and tell Jesus to get lost.
That means that you could probably get a Phduh and a preacher liscense.
HOW THE RESTORATION MOVEMENT WAS COMMANDED TO BE CARRIED OUT.
Isa 58:12 And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places:
....thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations;
....and thou shalt be called,
..----..The repairer of the breach,
...----.The restorer of paths to dwell in.
The first day was given as a rest PAUO day which outlawed ALL of what Christ called the hypocritic arts and crafts: speaking, singing, playing instruments. The first day of the week was to repudiate the Babylonian seventh day based on astrology
Isa 58:13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath,
....from doing thy pleasure on my holy day;
....and call the sabbath a delight,
....the holy of the Lord, honourable; and shalt honour him,
HERE'S IS HOW ALL OF THE BLASPHEMERS INTEND TO VIOLATE CHRIST'S DIRECT COMMAND.
dlctus alluring, charming, delightful; luxurious, voluptuous. delicatiores in cantu flexiones, sermo, versiculos scribens,tender, capella [she goat] Spoiled with indulgence, delicate, dainty, effeminate: [Capella writer of poetry and rhetoric]
flexo , B. In partic., of the voice, feminine modulation, inflection, change:
delicatiores in cantu,
cantus , s, m. id., I. the production of melodious sound, a musical utterance or expression, either with voice or instrument; hence, song, singing, playing, music
Sabbatum A. In gen., the day of rest among the Jews, the Sabbath; considered by the Romans to have been ordained as a fast-day.
not doing thine own ways,
....nor finding thine own pleasure,
....nor speaking thine own words:
You intend to violate BOTH of those Paul repeated in clear terms. Those who have lied, cheated and stolen the church house of widows to make a place in the mainstream for the "delicatus" they CANNOT repent: Lying Wonders are the performing arts used in a religious ceremony. Jesus said that the kingdom of God DOES NOT come to these religious observations.
My job is to witness so you cannot say you were never warned.

How do you witness to people when they can't understand what you're nattering on about? Either learn to communicate or go fishing.
Isaiah 58 by Christ
March 8 2012, 10:08 AM
The prophets were the testimony of the Spirit OF (preposition) Christ which in the Abrahamic Covenant is said to have been made by God in Christ. 1 Peter 1:11; Rev 19:10; 2 Corinthians 3 proves that Jesus, made to be both Lord and Christ, spoke through the prophets to CONTRADICT what the prophets warn as "the lying pen of the Scribes." The Scribes kept the record of the NOT-commanded and ungodly kingdom, king, temple, animal slaughter which God saw as murder and the EXORCISM of the warrior's instruments who were SOOTHSAYERS with INSTRUMENTS.
THE LAW OF MOSES WAS TO REGULATE A CIVIL SOCIETY: The monarchy did NOT follow the Law of Moses. It is clear that Moses prophesied of another prophet after the Israelites refused to hear God and fell into musical idolatry.
Isaiah 8:19 And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead?
Isaiah 8:20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.
Isaiah 8:21 And they shall pass through it, hardly bestead and hungry: and it shall come to pass, that when they shall be hungry, they shall fret themselves, and curse their king and their God, and look upward.
Isaiah 8:22 And they shall look unto the earth; and behold trouble and darkness, dimness of anguish; and they shall be driven to darkness.

Cutting and pasting large swatches from some lexicon supports your thesis how?
March 8 2012, 12:29 PM
I quoted Christ from the Bible: I doubted that you would recognize and doubted not that you would badmouth direct quotes from Christ in the Prophecy and Jesus in fulfilment.
We will pretend that you don't care and that others will be able to grasp that there is "no way of escape" in the Bible, word definitions and scholars who were literate and cared. So far I have not been able to find anything to give any hope for those who lie to God and about God just so they can steal the church houses of widows.

Actually, you quoted Isaiah. In my Bible, the first recorded words of Jesus are in Matthew. You're proof-texting again. Invalid.
Re: Isaiah 58

Not so: I quoted the testimony of the Spirit OF Christ.
God made Jesus of Nazareth to be both Lord and Christ to prove that a man like us could fulfil all of the prophecies.
1Timothy 2:5 For there is one God,
and one mediator between God and men,
the man Christ Jesus;
Deuteronomy 18:15 The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;
Acts 3:22 For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.
Acts 7:37 This is that Moses, which said unto the children of Israel, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear.
