I heard this little bit of info, from a little birdie... with respect to reffing....
The following referee's have been let go/fired by the OHA....
Harness
Black
Miles
Carmichael
My thoughts, from being a fan and watching these guys in action (keeping in mind, no one likes to see a man lose his job...).
Harness - Finally! Worst ref in Ontario. Arrogant and flips out in a matter of seconds. OHA got it right here.
Black - Nice guy. Bad ref. OHA got it right here.
Carmichael - Surprising, as I thought he was on the rise. Guessing his screw up in the LB/UX shootout earlier this season had something to do with this. Undecided if the OHA got it right here.
Miles - Don't understand this one, unless it's based on age...? The past 4 or 5 seasons, he has been the best ref the Central has had, in my eyes. OHA did NOT get it right here.
It's a good thing that the OHA took some action, as usually the refs are protected by them, and nothing is done.
I think they should have added Markew and Hancok to the list, but fingers are crossed for the next round of firing i suppose...

Sorry to see Carmichael go and Miles has finally let the guys play the last 3 or 4 years. Will certainly be missed in the Central.

I get accused of a lot of things on this forum Larry, but making stuff up isn't one of them.
You can take the info I have shared to the bank.... Proof will be in the putting in September, when the league starts for another season and NONE of these refs are on the ice.
What I have stated is the truth as it came from a VERY reliable source. But, for those that choose not to believe it, they can wait and see.
But, i will be proven as a truth teller next September, without question, with respect to what I have stated....
All of those refs have been torched by the OHA, and I think there may even be one or two more.

I can't confirm the particular names C Fan named, but I have heard from some officials I would consider credible that the OHA did indeed recently notify a number that they will not be renewed for next season.
