I Have a Problem.

I have a major dilema that needs to be solved badly. Currently, I have a 71 Chevelle in mint, mint condition. But the problem is that it's in mint condition; it can't be driven in the rain, to work, to school, or left anywhere. Therefore, I need another car or a daily driver. I want a quick car, has to be Chevy, and I had a long discussion with my wallet and we decided the best way to go is a third generation Camaro. However, I still need a lot of help. I need opinions, and lots of them. What year do you feel is the best? How much should I expect to pay? Are parts easy to get? ANTYHING will do, I want everything you feel I need to know. Thanks Alot

Definately a third gen. Ive owned 2. First an 86 coupe. I had a 4barrel carb 305. very fast. Flipped the are cleaner lid, removed cat. Top of the line ignition parts help alot no matter what car. I used blue streak from standard electric. They have all copper and brass connections. I sold it due to college. When I finished I bought my dream car. A tpi 350 iroc convertible. I only paid $3500. This car is awesome. It will dam near outrun a stang on six cylinders. The biggest thing is to find one that isnt rusty and be patient. Look at alot of them. They are out there. Be pickey. You will find what your looking for. Ebay is starting to have more and more also. Trader online has some nice ones to. Recently saw rs with 305 tpi. Black convertible only $4100. Cash usually gets um for less. Well email me let me know what ya found.

Hey if you're gonna get a third generation i would stick with a tpi. I would get a 91' tpi these cars are really quick you could pick one up for about 2500-3500 parts are easy to get the hardest thing to find is probably headers but u can get them from edelbrock (TEC) or SLP. These cars are cheap reliable and quick.

I have a '91 RS with a 305 TBI and a 5-speed and i love it dearly. I added flomasters a K&N and a chip. I am still not very happy with the performance. I wish it had a little more. Buy something With TPI it will be much better.
