Greetings all...tell me if you think I got a good buy...

I recently purchased a 1982 Camaro Sport Coupe. The thing lacks an engine, but has parts for a 350 as well as a brand new transmission (I think he meant rebuilt) as well as positraction read end and a 4 barrel carbeurater...new tires, new brakes, new exhaust, needs a windshield, 350 small block engine block, a new dashboard, and a paint job, as well as possibly new tires, and it's ready to roll once more. I have always dreamed of owning a camaro since my family bought a 1980 Camaro brand new. I loved that car until I saw our newer 1987 we traded it in for which was an R title but still sweet looking with the sleek new body design and all...and I knew that some day I would have one...I finally got one...and all I paid for it was 300 dollars! The rear end alone is worth more than that. You guys think this was a good buy or what?
I am also looking for any advice as to what color I should paint the thing...I was thinking this beautiful shade of midnight blue that is so eye catching...Chrysler puts it on their minivans, but it so belongs on a sports car...or just the standard jet black.
What might be a good price to pay for just the block of a 350 engine? Just wondering cause I can get a decent one out of a junked camaro for 50 bucks off a guy at the local junk yard.

A few years back I found an '84 305 HO convertible 2 seater. But the engine was toast. The cooling fan had been wired up to run with the key on, but the fan motor turned backwards. Paid $750. Anyone know how many of these were 305 HO's?
