I am talking about BigMan. I have known him for more than 45 years, we went to elementary school together at Dorton. He is a fine person, but if you are friends of his you already know that. Let me tell you about him if you don't already know him. He is a kind, gentle, friendly, compassionate man. Honest!! If he tells you something, you can take it to the bank. I was the hospital in Huntington, WV about 3 years ago, I had been in a bad car accident and I was on my death bed. I had all but given up when he came in the room. He sat there on the side of my bed for 2 days and prayed. His concern for me and his prayers gave me strength and I am here today because of him. Nobody told him or asked him to visit me, when he found out where I was and the condition I was in, he went. He had to retire from teaching over 10 years ago. Since then, he has been a house-husband, or at least that is what he calls it. He has been married to the same woman for 30+ years. He calls her 'his girlfriend', and if you see them together, you will know quickly that they are still madly in love with each other. They have one son who is preparing to become a doctor. I am extremely proud and blessed to be able to call him my friend. He won't like it when he finds out that I have been bragging on him, he is a modest man, he would want others to take the credit for his good deeds. He tells me his purpose in life is to live for the Lord not for himself. I can't say enough to describe him. I wish everyone on this board could know him as your friend.
