Sounds like you all have adopted the "Boy Scout Motto,-" which is: "Be Prepared." Nothing wrong with thinking about, what if...? Tornadoes and all.
I like your philosophy about not being able to change that which is fore-ordained, or destined to happen. I Agree... Nothing we can do about it.
Shifting gears for a moment, it appears Tennesseans could be shackled with a 4.5% state income tax.
The amazing part is; in their dog and pony show promotion for a TN state income tax, it is being done under the guise, and banner of "TAX REFORM." Sort of reminds me of the days bak when the Snake-oil con-men would make their rounds in Pike, purporting to offer remedies for all the aches & pains common to man.
On the subject of taxes, one man once quipped; "The art of taxation consist of so plucking the goose so as to obtain the maximum amount of feathers, with the least possible amount of HISSING."
Tennesseans have been HISSING now for some time at those desiring to plunder us. Some of us hope the Spirit of those involved "Boston Tea Party" will once again revive and provoke PECKING, instead of HISSING.
We'll see...
