One of my brothers lives right on the creek bank on Upper Chloe....with no yard to speak of! He said there were portable buildings floating down the Levisa (at Card) this morning on his way home from work. He couldn't get to Haysi to go home the "short" way.
I didn't know Pikeville had flood gates. I knew Williamson did and I think they have already lowered them (according to another brother that lives over at Hatfield).
I had an appt. in P'ville this evening with CPA, but I'm gonna call and reschedule that one. Hubby says we can't get through Bartlick. We'd have to go through Haysi and still not sure of a couple places on the main road toward the Breaks.
It just has started raining again here....probably the ice coming in. It's a dangerous time.
