Black Labs

I have 4 AKC registered male black lab puppies for $350 each. If anyone is interested please let me know. The puppies will be available to go to a new home around Sept. 23. Memorial Horse Show

The Cumberland Pine Mountain Trail Riders proudly presents "The Memorial Horse Show" coming up this Saturday, July 11th, at 7 pm at The Clintwood Horse Show Grounds on Pound River. This is our "BIGGEST SHOW OF THE YEAR". Admission is $5.00 12 and under are Free. Negative Coggins is required at the gate. The road to the Horse Show Grounds will be a One-Way Road from 3 pm on Sat. til about 6 am on Sunday morning. All vehicles going down by the riding ring will have to go all the way around and come out at South of the Mountain Road and then turn back on to Brush Creek. This will be a packed show and we ask that only Horse Trailers, vehicles pulling the Horse Trailers, and handicap vehicles be allowed inside the gate for this show. We will have additional parking at the Softball Field (Soccer Field). We are hoping to have a shuttle service set up to take people to and from the horse ring. We also ask that everyone who travels down Brush Creek Road from Sat. evening through Sunday morning please slow down when you get to the Softball Field since there will be a lot of vehicles and people walking. The big Memorial Trophies will be given away at this show.

Motorcycle Benefit Ride

Don't forget tomorrow is the Motorcycle Benefit Ride for the Saddle Club Kids..
Be at Clintwood Lumber at 10 am. Registration is from 10 am til 11 am.
All motorcycles will pull out at 11 am...
We will end at The Kiwanis Park in Haysi with lots of prizes to be given away.
If you want to participate but don't have a motorcycle then you can drive your
vehicle and go with us. We will be selling a hot lunch at The Kiwanis Park.
Cost of ride is $10 per motorcycle or vehicle. for more information you can send
us an email.

Haysi man accused of child molestation
TERESA MULLINS / Staff Writer
A Haysi man is facing 24 charges related to sexual crimes he allegedly committed against four male children over the course of more than two decades.

The 52-year-old man was indicted by a Dickenson County Grand Jury on June 8 and is charged with two counts of sodomy, eight counts of taking indecent liberties with a child, eight counts of aggravated sexual battery and six counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Motorcycle Benefit Ride

The Dickenson County 4-H Saddle Club will host their 1st Annual Motorcycle Benefit Ride on Sat. June 20th
They will line up at Clintwood Lumber, Registration is from 10am-11am, Motorcycles will pull out at 11 am.
The ride will go to Pound, and then proceed to Pikeville, Ky. and turn onto 460 and go to Elkhorn City, Ky.
and come back to Haysi, Va. to the Haysi Kiwanis Park where the club will be selling a hot lunch for $5.00 a dinner. The menu will be 2-Hot Dogs, cole slaw, baked beans, and a soft drink, or Pork Barbeque, cole slaw, baked beans, and a soft drink. We have a lot of prizes to give away from lots of business in the Tri-Cities. There are some really nice prizes. We will give away a few prizes at Clintwood Lumber, and the next stop will be a station in Ky. and we will give away a few more prizes there, the final prize drawings will be at the Haysi Kiwanis Park. You must be present to win the prizes. The cost of the ride is $10 per motorcycle. All proceeds will go to the Children of the Dickenson County 4-H Saddle Club to help pay for them to go to the 4-H State Horse Show in Lexington, Va. in late Sept. All horses entering the Riding Ring must have a Negative Coggins...All horses will leave the Riding Ring at 10 am for the Ride. Donkey Basketball Game

The Dickenson County 4-H Saddle Club will host its 3rd Annual Donkey Basketball Game on Friday April 17th at 7 pm at the Haysi High School Gymnasium. Tickets are on sale now at the Haysi High School, Dickenson County Extension Office in Clintwood,or you can call 276-926-6957. We will have the Stick Horse race for the children during intermission, and also half court shots and a prize will be awarded to the winners. The menu for our Concession will be Pizza, Hot Dogs, Pork Barbeque Sandwiches, Nachos & Cheese, Nachos & Chili & Cheese, Popcorn, Chips, Candy, Pop, Water, Gatorade. All proceeds will go to the Dickenson County 4-H Saddle Club. Come on out and watch these two basketball teams battle it out on Donkeys. Girls Basketball Tournament

CORRECTION ON DATES for CPM Trail Riders Workday

There will be a work day at the Pound River Riding Ring on Sat. Nov. 8th from 10 am til 5 pm and Sun. Nov. 9th from 10 am til 5 pm (if anyone wants to help before or after the Veterans Day Parade in Clincho). We need all available members and friends who can volunteer a few hours of their time to help us tear the ring apart, so we can get ready to start rebuilding it. If anyone can help please let us know or come on down to the ring tomorrow and/or Sunday. Sunday is the Veterans Day Parade at Clinchco and all CPM Trail Riders and Dickenson County Saddle Club members are invited to ride their horses in this parade.
