Paycall

Can anyone out there help me with some information about how the German WWll soldier recieved his pay,how often was he paid and the basic format for achieving this. I wish to hold a paycall with my unit at a public event but will just be going through the motions according to the way it was done to me in Marine Corps (when we recieved cash).
